*VILLAGE CENTER APARTMENTS SUMMARY: Located on Hutchins Street in downtown Morrisville, Village Center Apartments transforms an unused, infill lot into 24 units of income eligible, affordable rental apartments designated for our community’s lower and moderate income earning residents. The all-electric building consists of a mixture of studios, one, and two bedroom rental apartments with monthly rental rates that ranging from $650 - $1,000 including heat and utilities. 

*3 WEEK COMMUNITY PROJECTION: Much of the previous look ahead (weeks of Feb 7 through Feb 28) still holds. Rough-ins continue throughout the building. Drywall installation has started in the Garden Level and First floors. The number of workers on site daily has increased, 30+ workers can be expected on site on a given day. Storage containers are temporarily being stored in the public parking lot adjacent to the project site, with permission from the Town. Siding installation is slated to begin in April. During this time, impacts to Morrisville outside the construction site should be minimal. Businesses directly adjacent to the Hutchins Street construction site are open for business.

*VILLAGE CENTER APARTMENTS FUNDING SOURCES: Vermont Housing & Conservation Board (VHCB,) Vermont Community Development Program (VCDP,) Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC,) LIHTC investors, Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA,) and Housing Ministries of New England (HMNE.) Additional funding came from Community National Bank to partially fund municipal parking lot redesign and expansion collaborative effort with Town of Morrisville.
